AMD Next Gen Radeon Delayed, Might Be As Powerful As HD 6990
November 5, 2011 by Chapree

We don’t know about you but we felt that the graphics card world is a little bit quiet these days and it looks like it going to be like this until next year. A news just popped up saying that AMD has delayed the release of its next generation Radeon GPUs to next year. Fondly referred to as Radeon HD 7000 series, the new GPU was originally scheduled to be released in this quarter.
The reason behind the delay is not very clear but according to the source, it is caused by some production issue. That being said, the new Radeon HD 7000 is said to be able to offer performances that are almost similar to the dual-core Radeon HD 6990 monster in just a single-core GPU. Well, this might be futile but we still have a little of hope that the new GPU will not burst our wallet as per the HD 6990.
