October is going to be busy for our friends at Sony Malaysia. Not only the new PlayStation units are MIGHT CONFIRMED to be launched at the end of this month (more details later) but they are also going to have a massive tournament series altogether.

The PlayStation Games Challenge will take place on weekends (starting tomorrow) at Sony Style, The Curve in Mutiara Damansara, PJ and 10 different game will be played throughout the tournament period. Each individual champion will get a chance to win a Sony PlayStation 3 AND a 40″ Sony Bravia LCD TV. We repeat it again: only ONE winner will bring home a new console and a huge arse TV. The rest will receive a PS3 Friend t-shirt…sounds like one winner takes all-kind of prize distribution there.

Anyway, for the first week, the game list and schedules are as below:

10th October 2009, Saturday
- 1pm - Tournament Registration
- 2pm – King of Fighters XII

- 7pm – Tournament Registration

11th October 2009, Sunday

From what we heard, games from other genre such as FPS and Racing will also made its way to this event. The PlayStation Games Challenge is free of charge and registration can be done via their official site. Registration for each week will be closed on Friday at 11:59pm.
