CubeTech Launches Exteel and GoGo Racer, Regional Tourney In Works

At the end of last month, CubeTech Asia - best known as the Malaysian distributor for NCSoft’s famed Lineage II - has launched two more online games to be included in their portfolio. The soft-launch which was held at CIMB Perfect Livin’09 expo, was completed in the attendance of big guns from each company that involved in bringing the game to the country; Jason Yap - CEO of CubeTech Asia, Fadzly Yusof - CEO of iAM Interactive and Monte Singman, the CEO of Radiance Digital Entertainment.

CubeTech Asia manages to secure Malaysian distribution and micropayment rights for both of the games, Exteel and GoGo Racer, through their existing and strong partnership with iAM Interactive Philippines. However, these games are not new in our market though. Both Exteel and GoGo Racer has went through extensive local Beta Testing since March and May respectively.

In fact, Exteel itself has already went into commercial phase since June’09 while GoGo Racer is currently in Open Beta phase since early August. This event serves as a point to officially introduce the games to the general public. The launch event also saw the unveiling of GoGo Racer’s Ambassador - Vinx Lim, quarter finalist of Malaysia’s “Absolute Superstar” in 2007. Having just released his debut EP ‘Sunrise’, GoGo Racer fans can expect the musicians to make a surprise apperances at GoGo Racer’s related events.

Meanwhile, to tournament heads out there, pay attention. According to Fadzly Yusof of iAM Interactive, a regional tournament are currently in plan for both games. We forgot the exact amount of cash prizes that they are planning to give away but if we are not mistaken, it’s somewhere in the region of a 5-digit number. In US Dollar.
