PS3 Firmware 3.0 Update Is Now Available

Sony has just released the latest firmware - version 3.0 - for PlayStation 3 through the usual built-in System Update and downloadable installer. The update is said to accompany the new PS3 Slim, judging from the new PS3 logo and fonts that appeared during booting screen after the update has been applied.
The version 3.0 firmware contains a number of new features such as:
- New design for the XMB (XrossMediaBar) screen
- Increased folder levels
- Text copy and paste capability
- “Information Board” section has been replaced with “What’s New”
- Multi-output audio capability
- HDD Content Audio Language and Subtitle Language settings
- Fast forward and fast reverse operations using right analog sticks on controller during media playback
- Printing a Web page
- Saving a Web page as an image
- Viewing messages in the profile screen
There are couple more new stuff in the update that the official website didn’t mention, so download the new firmware at PlayStation’s Malaysian official website to check them out for yourself.
