MOL Cup’09 Starts Now, Winners Qualifies To One Asia Cup

MyCNX, the Malaysian operator of FIFA Online 2, have announced a qualifying event called MOL Cup’09, for yet another regional FIFA Online 2 tournament, the One Asia Cup 2009 (OAC). The regional cup, which was announced back in June, will take place at Games Convention Asia (GCA) in Singapore on 19th to 20th September 2009.

Apart from Malaysia, the tournament will be joined by players from GCA host country themselves, together with Thailand and Vietnam for chance to go home with prizes that are worth around RM 350,000 (USD 100,000).

MOL Cup’09 itself are divided into 2 phase: online qualifiers and Final. 31 players will be selected in the online qualifiers, based on their World Tour points. These finalist together with [T2.W|nDs]Vin, who recently represented the country to Hyundai Motor Cup Asian Championship will meet each other in the LAN finals, scheduled to take place on 6th September at MOL iCafe in Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur.

Apart from the trip to OAC, up for grabs at the MOL Cup’09 Finals are cash prizes in total of RM 1700 (SGD 700) together tons of gaming equipments from Razer and also, in-game value codes. There are only two 1v1 player and two 2v2 team spots in Team Malaysia to OAC’09, so better start churning out those World Tour points in the game now.
