Less polygon, more water color: Master Chief in the animated Halo Legends.

Yesterday, we were treated to the news of Sam Raimi as the director of live-action film adaptation of Blizzard’s World of Warcraft. Today, it is Microsoft turn, to unveil yet another Halo-themed work, this time in a form of animation called Halo Legends.
According to a report by Los Angeles Times, the animation will made its debut at Comic-Con International, currently happening at San Diego. The animation series are consisted of seven short movies that will be animated by five Japanese production houses - Bones, Casio Entertainment, Production I.G., Studio4 C, and Toei Animation. Microsoft still holds the ultimate decision though as they are in charge of the series visual and storytelling approval.
Halo Legends film distribution will be handled by Warner Bros and it will be out on DVD, Blu-Ray and also, digital distribution platforms somewhere in early 2010. While Halo Legends trailer is expected to be shown during Halo panel at the convention tomorrow, the world premier of the trailer will take place at GameTrailers TV, according to the show’s host, Geoff Keighley Twitter update.
The initial image above looked very good, so we hope it doesn’t disappoint.
