Date July 20, 2009 by Chapree

To date, the community have no dedicated ranking systems except for Underminer’s National DoTA Ranking system and maybe a number of unofficial ranking attempts in several games such as FIFA and Winning Eleven that is usually focused on big events such as WCG. Well, the community can now look forward for the second dedicated ranking system, the ESPGL Point System League.

The ESPGL Point System League will be used to track the progress of local Call of Duty 4 teams officially. Points are given at ESPGL-sanctioned events according the team’s final placing during each tournament and also, according to each event’s category. A team doesn’t necessary need to be among the final 8 team to gain points though as any teams that attended the event will go home with a least couple of points.

The ranking system also featured a cash prizes pool (currently at RM 1000), which will be spread among the ranking’s top 8 teams at the end of the year. Not only that, these top 8 teams will also received advanced points when the ranking system starts all over again the following year.

The system will be in place starting from the upcoming MMU Cyberjaya’s ConvoFest’09 LAN Games Competition. For the whole technical explanation on the system, check it out at ESPGL official website.
