09:00am: Oh, I forgot. Our actual team leader has went back to KL yesterday, so guess who taking over his job? Yours truly. Moer werk ayyyyyyyeeeeeeeee! XD

09:30am: Team Malaysia DoTA rep has reported for duty and their match against Phillipines should start anytime soon.

11:00am: We won! According to Underminer, Excello has indeed well prepared against the well known Team Flow of Phillippines and excuted their plans accordingly to win the match without any major backlash.

11:15am: Excello guys are preparing their stuff on the main stage, while waiting for the Singapore vs. Australia match to be over as either one of these teams will be their next opponent.

11:30am: It is confirmed that our next DoTA opponent will be Singapore! This is going to be a tough one.

Also, the only surviving Malaysian team at CAPL’09 has won their match and qualifies to Semi-Finals. So far so good for Team Malaysia. :D

Meanwhile, our FIFA rep have checked into the tournament area, which mean his match going to take place very-very soon. Stay tuned.

11:53am: Since we couldn’t get a connection at the stage area, we going to do a rather delayed updates. Together with me to commentate is Si_Jali of Spotgamers, Benny of INC.Excello and Jason of Gamosphere.com

11:56am: Hey, we got the connection woohooo. Alrite then, enjoy the live play by play commentator by all these folks on scene. Post your shout outs for our rep either in the comment box below or at our forums!

11:58am: The match already started. According to Benny, the draft for both teams is rather balanced.

Excello: Atropos, Lion, Mirana, ES, Doom (Bans: Morph, Thinker, Bloodseeker, Rhasta)
XtC: Puck, SandKing, Tideunder, Kunka, Strom Spirit (Bans: Necro, Undying, NA, DP)

Excello Lanes: Mid - Doom solo, Bottom - Lion & Atopos, Top - Mirana & Es
XtC Lanes: Mid - Kunka solo, Bottom - Puck & SandKing, Top - Storm & TideUnder

Drafting information is provided by Jason.

12:00pm: Excello got the first blood! This match is expected to be epic, so it is a really good start.

12:06pm: INC.Excello is currently leading in kill. Things really looking good, the Malaysian supporters are going crazy!

12:15pm: INC.Excello managed to kill off XtC’s Puch & Sandking at the bottom lane, w00t~

12:22pm: The action has started to pick up with Excello has just managed to break the 1st middle tower and take down two of XtC’s heroes - Kunka & Puck.

We currently at 24th minutes mark of the game, Mirana has Diffusal Blade while Doom has the Soul Booster.

12:23pm: Weeeeee more good news for the Malaysian camps. The FIFA’09 match against Bangladesh is already underway and we received a news that [T2.W|nDs] is currently leading the match, yay!

Meanwhile, Excello has just faced their first casualties as XtC went on offensive and defeated Team Malaysia in a war.

12:30pm: It is still anyone game although Malaysia’s DoTA rep still ripping up the kill score. Nothing special happening right now, just some heroes killing.

12:34pm: Excello has just swipe away XtC’s heroes, like nobody’s business. Only Puck survived the Malaysian rampage.

12:36pm: Flashnews from CAPL area, Cybertime will meet DSD in the Semi Finals. Time of match is still unknown.

Meanwhile at the 38th minutes mark, Excello’s Doom has obtained a Refresher Orb and an Aghaniam Scepter which a good counter for XtC’s Storm Spirit.

12:41pm: Urgh, XtC just won yet another war against Excello.

12:44pm: Just received the news that Lo0n4tic has just won his first FIFA’09 match against Bangladesh with a beautiful 1 - 4 score. That means Team Malaysia has a very very very very comfortable 4 away goals advantage.

12:46pm: Excello took both top and middle barracks and currently going for the lower barracks. Singapore’s team already wrote GG on the screen signaling their defeat. We are going to the finals, w00000ttt!!!

12:55pm: The FIFA match finally over and with a total of 7 - 2 on aggregate after winning the second match 3 - 1, looks like [T2.W|nDs]Lo0n4tic has just cruised to the Semi-Finals for Team Malaysia!

GHWT Quarter Finals will start around 1:30pm and our rep will be facing last year’s champ - New Zeland. While our rep said that he don’t think that he will be able to get past the eBlacks, he will fight with everything his got until the end. \m/

01:15pm: We are up against the mighty Korea in FIFA Semi-Finals, whereby second match is currently underway. Lo0n won the first match with 2 - 3, with away advantages. One step closer to one more Grand Finals!!

02:13pm: Awww man, we got bad news for you guys….Team Malaysia received continues defeat in later stages of WCGAC’09. :(

In FIFA’09 Semi-Finals against Korea, Lo0n managed to won the first match with a 2 - 3 away win, but then lost in the home game 3 - 4. That equals to 6 - 6 draw but Korea qualified due to away goal differences.

As for GHWT quarter finals, the skill gap between our rep and New Zealand are pretty obvious as the NZ players (last year’s GH champ) leads all the way from start to finish. Our rep managed to get only around half of the scores that New Zealand players did in both song. The first song was chosen by NZ - The Prisoner of Society by The Living End and second song was by our rep - Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix.

So with that, Team Malaysia chances to be overall champion of WCGAC’09 looks very very very very very dim.

02:23pm: Seems that the organizer has pushed the WCGAC’09 DoTA Finals to 2:30pm. We are getting ready for yet another gameplay live updates, so stay tuned.

Meanwhile, Cybertime has qualified to CAPL’09 Summer Season Finals. As we tied up with the main championship, we hope that we were able to stop by at CAPL area to check on them.

In the FIFA’09 Bronze Medal decider match, Lo0n won the first match against India’s Bbreak17 with the 2 - 0 score (home or away status is unknown). Right now, he is deep in the second match and is leading the match with 2 - 1 score. Come on Lo0n, bring back the bronze medal!!

02:34pm: FIFA’09 Bronze Medal decider match just finished and….Team Malaysia won!!! The final aggregate score is 4 - 2 which gave Team Malaysia their first WCGAC’09 medal.

02:50pm: Vietnam just won themselves a gold medal in FIFA’09. Looks like we have to say bye-bye to the overall champion of WCGAC’09 title. :(

03:10pm: Woah, it is a huge turnout here at Suntec Singapore for WCGAC’09 DoTA Finals with Malaysia against Vietnam. Before that, we are happy to inform you guys that Cybertime is in the CAPL’09 Summer Season finals. They will meet the team that brought down Kingsurf, Team Ice Pro.

03:11pm: The match between Team Malaysia and Team Vietnam has been going on for the past minutes. Here are the draft list for this match, provided by Jason of Gamosphere once again:

Malaysia Lanes: Bottom - Kunka & Lion, Mid - Thinker, Top - Tide & Atropos
Vietnam Lanes: Bottom - Sandking & Warlock, Mid - Rhasta, Top - Dead Prophet & Enigma

03:17pm: Malaysia had the first blood! But this match is expected to be very tough and also very similar to the earlier group match between these two teams. Vietnam picked a lot of crucial heroes and they are focused on pushing their own lanes.

03:19pm: Excello’s middle tower went down.

03:20pm: Excello’s lower tower just went down. Vietnam is pushing very very hard.

03:22pm: Team Malaysia’s top tower went down as well. Oh noes, it looks really bad.

03:23pm: 2 of Excello’s heroes got killed - Lion & Atropos. But according to Jason, although Vietnam is currently leading in terms of towers - as all of their towers are still intact, Team Malaysia still have a lot of chances to recover since Vietnam’s heroes selection are meant to be pushed around, so if Excello able to hold them off, Malaysia will have the upperhands as soon as around 45 minutes mark.

Excello is currently indeed playing a very defensive game, by positioning their carry heroes near by their farmers, just waiting for engagement.

03:32pm: The kill score right is 9 - 8, with the lead to Malaysia.

03:38pm: OMG, Vietnam totally rolled over Malaysia in an engagement which killed two Excello’s heroes and then continued to broke Malaysia’s first line and second line of the tower. :(

03:44pm: Things really bad at Malaysian camp. Every time Vietnam engaged, one tower broke down. Only our middle tower left, but our base tower is still intact.

03:46pm: Our middle tower is gone. We are down to our last line of defense….no no no, Vietnam is engaging, thing looking really2 bad.

03:47pm: Both of our middle barracks is now gone, Malaysia still defending but we are going down very-very fast.

03:48pm: Vietnam is unstoppable and just killed our top barracks. The game is totally on the Viets hand. It is possible for Malaysia to recover back but it is rather very very very very very hard.

03:52pm: Our bottom barracks is gone and Vietnam is the winner!! So near yet so far. Team Malaysia have to settle for the DoTA silver medal. :(

I’m so sorry for the incomplete reports. Yours truly were caught up with the closing ceremony and some post-event paperworks etc, all that jazz. As a (replacement) team leader, it came with the job. Anyway, we would like to conclude the coverage with results from two more of Malaysian finalist - Cybertime received 2nd place in CAPL’09 Summer Season after defeated by and Anomaly also received 2nd place in WCG.sg Team Fortress 2 Open Category.

We would like to thank Team Malaysia for having us and also to fellow media friends - Si_Jali and TPK of Spotgamers, Jason of Gamosphere.com, Benny of INC.Excello and Underminer for helping us especially with the DoTA commentary and score reports. Not to forgot, kudos to all of our new & old friends that we met along the way.

Also, thanks to you guys for tuning in. We already looking forward for WCG Asian Championship 2010, so see you again next year! :D
