MSC Malaysia To Held Workshop On IPCC Games Category
June 8, 2009 by Chapree

This is rather a short notice, but to all budding game developers out there, you might want to pay attention. As you might know, MSC Malaysia came out with a grant scheme for promising digital content creators through their annual IP Creators Challenge (IPCC). Currently in it’s 4th year, they are giving away RM 500,000 worth of funds for two video games-specific category: Computer Casual Games and Mobile Games.
Half a million ringgit…did we get your attention already? Good. Now, folks at MSC Malaysia really want to help all interested parties out there, so they are having a one-day clinic focusing solely on the two video games category. The workshop which is called IPCC Casual Games and Mobile Games Workshop will take place at Nikko Hotel, KL from 9am to 5pm tomorrow, 9th June.
According to the workshop agenda [thanks to heterosapiens at IGDA.org Forums], it will cover a lot of game development fundamental issues such as funding, games design, music creation and commercial platform. These issues will be covered by speakers from Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), local game developers, content distributors and also, by one of the winner of the past IPCC games category.
The registration is free and you can register yourself HERE.
