Two Rock Band news in a day? Yeah baby, papa love ‘em plastic guitars. Looks like there will be another Rock Band to be released this year, in the name of LEGO Rock Band. Targeted to lower age and family demographics, it is the third RB title to be announced for this year alone, in addition of The Beatles and RB Unplugged for PlayStation Portable.

Currently in the works by Harmonix and TT Games (who are also developed couple of LEGO-related titles such as LEGO Star Wars), the game will be released on PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360 and DS. It will also support majority of current music game controllers. As for the song list, only part of them is available so far:

Blur: “Song 2″

Carl Douglas: “Kung Fu Fighting”

Europe: “The Final Countdown”

Good Charlotte: “Boys and Girls”

Pink: “So What”

No exact date yet but it has been confirmed for Holiday 2009 release. Expect the game experience to be the same as other Rock Band titles out there except that the characters and world are LEGO-rized, which can be customized to your liking. I wonder if they’ll put White Stripes‘ Fell In A Love With A Girl in the game…
