Hotlink Games and Anime Festival Starts Today
March 19, 2009 by Chapree

The annual Hotlink Games and Anime Festival (HAGF) is back once again! It is happening now at Berjaya Times Square, KL and will end this Sunday, 22nd March. It is yet another all-in-one anime and gaming themed event for this weekend, with ACGC’09 also happening at the same time albeit at a different venue.
While we couldn’t figure out why both event must be held at the same time, let’s check out what does the well known prepaid telco outfit and their event partners got to offer at this event:
- 8 Elements: Launch of 2 new mobile games from Disney
- Asiasoft: Sudden Attack Official Launch featuring Solo and Team Tournament (more on that later)
- EA: Need for Speed Undercover competition on PlayStation 3
- Gameloft: Ashpalt 4 mobile racing competition
- GLU: Watchmen: The Mobile Game extravaganza
- Ichiban: Dance Dance Revolution competition for both mobile, on-ground and on-stage.
- M Games: Hotlink Warrior III contests
- MNC: Elven Legends competition
- Sega: Sonic Dash secret code contest
- Trinity Wizards: The Mopets High Score challenge
The prizes varies from one exhibitor to another, from limited edition swags, games across platforms, handphones up till Nintendo DS and Sony PSP. Not to forget cash prizes, gaming hardware and yup, you guessed it - Hotlink prepaid cards.
Our Shrine colleague, Linkinstreet stopped by earlier today and offered some visual previews of what the event got to offer. Don’t forget to check out all the link below for more information, before making your way there.
Do you think HGAF which emphasis heavily on mobile games will balance out with other platforms this year? Is the new venue at BTS is better than Sg. Wang or otherwise? We would like to hear all your comments in our comments box.
