Multiplay Supports Earth Hour 2009: Take A Break From Gaming On 28th March

There are thousands of gamers all over our beloved Malaysia, whom are gaming on their PCs, consoles and handhelds for numerous hours daily. Each of related equipments - processors, graphic cars, LCDs and etc, used a lot of powers and generated lots of heat. Obviously, this contribute to global warming - a very serious damage to nature, to some extent.

On Saturday, 28th March 2009, Lowyat.NET and Multiplay will be joining a global effort to create awareness against global warming in Earth Hour 2009. We would like to invite you to join in for the cause as well - by just flicking off your light switch for just one hour, 8:30pm to 9:30pm Malaysian Standard Time.

Each of your effort will be considered a vote for Earth against global warming and the results will be presented by WWF to world leaders at Global Climate Change Conference 2009 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Now, while most of us love to game in the dark, why not take it further? Shut down all your electronic gaming equipments, let them (and yourself) take a break for Earth Hour 2009. Chill out outside of your home and enjoy the night breeze and shineeey stars that mother nature got to offer. You can get together with your gaming mates and chat outside the game for once this time.
