ESWC Malaysia 2009 Details Appeared Out of Nowhere

While everybody knew that ESWC Malaysia 2009 details will be out sometimes this month, we didn’t expect it to be out on our forums in the first place. It was indeed came out of nowhere, but who cares as long as it’s an awesome one. 
Just couple of minutes ago, the details of the event was released here. The announcement confirmed the final five games for ESWC Malaysia 2009:
- Official ESWC Games: Counter-Strike 1.6
- Official ESWC Games: Trackmania Nations Forever
- Official ESWC Games: Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne
- DoTA
- FIFA’09
For now, it is not yet known which of the official ESWC games will offered Global Finals spot in Paris this coming June. Also, another important detail that came out in the announcement was the dates of the qualifiers and national finals:
- 24-26 April: East Malaysia Qualifiers - The Spring Shopping Mall, Kuching, Sarawak
- 9-10 May: Northern Qualifiers - Penang
- 23-24 May: Central Qualifiers - Subang Jaya
- 27-31 May: DIGITAL WEEK Indie Youth Fest // ESWC 2009 Malaysia Grand Finals - 1 Utama Shopping Mall, Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya.
Details such as available slots to national finals and games to compete at these qualifiers are still not yet known at the time of this post was written. We were told that more details will be out very-very soon but most of the important ones especially the qualifiers and national finals dates are pretty much confirmed.
It’s time to practice then. Go now! 
This year’s qualifiers adopted zonal location - East, North & Central, instead of location-wise qualifiers last year. Do you prefer this method which would gather participants in one huge zonal event or the older method where participants can spread out to locations? Say your piece of mind in our comments box.

I think there should be another qualifier at the Grand Finals itself where participants who couldn’t make it, will have the last chance to qualify for the Grand Finals.
Argh, May is my exam month… Waaa!!!

Errr…how that works?
Well yeah, May is also exam month in many colleges including MMU. I guess it’s unavoidable since ESWC World Finals will be in June.

Since ESWC Malaysia is postponed (refer HERE), you have to wait until Go International release further details.

i would strongly suggest a qualifiers round in the grand finals in One Utama.
Because there might be some people who can’t make it on certain qualifier days.
Nevertheless, me and my team will be joining this event (: ESWC HERE WE COME !!
