Recently, we’ve mentioned that the upcoming Cyber Fusion will have its own tournament, separated from its longest LAN Party world record attempt. This weekend - 7th & 8th March 2009, the qualifier event called E-Sport’09 will take place at Faculty of Information Technology, MMU Cyberjaya.

Organized by Game Developers’ Club of MMU Cyberjaya, a total cash prizes of more than RM 3000 together with lots of sponsored goodies from the event sponsors will be on the line. The official games are:

  • Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wraths
  • Counter-Strike 1.6
  • DoTA
  • FIFA’09
  • Need for Speed: ProStreet

As we mentioned earlier, this event also served as the qualifier for the Cyber Fusion tournament in April. Since not all official game will be featured during the later LAN event, only top two teams or players in CS1.6, DoTA and FIFA’09 will receive a Top 16 spot in April.

The registration is apparently still open and registration fee differs from one game to another: RM 80 per team for Counter Strike and DoTA, RM 30 for FIFA’09 and RM 15 for NFS ProStreet and C&C3:Kane’s Wrath.

Do check out all the links below for latest news from the tournament’s organizer.

UPDATED (8/3): As of yesterday, C&C and NFS has been canceled for this tournament as the participation turnout was very-very low, according to the organizer. Refund will made to all participants that already registered.
