Street Fighter IV Showdown At Cineleisure Mutiara Damansara

Sony Malaysia and Outpost Events recently announced the first ever Street Fighter IV Tournament, slated on 28th February and 1st March 2009 at Cineleisure Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya from 11 am to 9 pm. Official platform of the tournament is of course Sony PlayStation 3 and yes, participants can bring over their controllers, provided the console supported either directly or by adaptor - which you have to bring you own (duh!).

Since the tournament timing is parallel with the release of Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li starring Kristin Kreuk as the leading kung-fu lady that we all know to love from the game. Each participants will receive a goodie bag, containing ticket for the movie’s special screening on 1st March - among the many swags inside it. Non-participants can also get their hands on the movie ticket by participating in Cineleisure’s special promotion during the duration of the event.

Sony Malaysia also will be offering an special PlayStation 3 Street Fighter IV bundle, exclusive for the event. Apart from the console, the game itself and special goodies, each purchase of the bundle will entitled the customer to get another extra controller with a discounted price.

Currently, there is no complete list of prizes apart that we know about apart from a PlayStation 3 as the grand prize. Also, the tournament is open to everybody, as in, everybody - Malaysians and non-Malaysians alike. Will we able to see our Southern, Northern, Eastern and Western neighbors then?

Registration fees for each participants is RM 25 and you can register yourself at Outpost Café or Gamer’s Hideout, located at Level 2 and Level LG of Cineleisure Mutiara Damansara respectively.
