New Metal Gear Solid (Plus More) Is Indeed Coming To iPhone

An significant update from our previous post about the new mysterious Metal Gear Solid, the game has now been confirmed by Konami heading to Apple iPhone/iPod Touch. The upcoming Metal Gear Solid Touch is based on the recent Metal Gear Solid 4 and expected to launch in Japan, North America and Europe around Spring 2009.

Interestingly, the new MGS is not the only Konami’s game heading to the Apple’s device this coming Spring. Three more games also have been listed by the publisher: Frogger, DanceDanceRevolution S Lite, and Silent Hill: The Escape. These games will be released around the end of this month. DDR S Lite will not receive a European release though but not that we actually care…

With this confirmation by Konami, we can put the rumor to the rest. Also, we would like to say sorry to other console hopefuls - Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and Sony PSP. Who knows…maybe the next-next MGS will be their turn?
