The big kahuna of Asiasoft Group, Sherman Tan (white polo) and Keith Long, the Country Manager of AS Online Sdn Bhd (in coat), celebrated the official launch of Asiasoft’s Malaysian branch.
Earlier this month, the established online games service provider and distributor - Asiasoft Group has officially launched their Malaysian subsidiary, AS Online Sdn. Bhd.. This launch marked the expansion of Asiasoft’s strong regional presence, whom already maintained offices in Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Sherman Tan, the Chairman of Asiasoft Corporation Public Company, who was at the ceremony, commented on the launch:
Asiasoft’s choice of Malaysia as a location for its new subsidiary is influenced by the nation’s vision in building infocomm as one of the key pillars of development and growth for the country to reach developed status by 2020.
With huge market potential for varieties of online games and educational institutes offering game development specific coursework and degrees, we are confident to achieve steady growth in Malaysia that will contribute to the overall success for the Group.
In conjunction with the opening of Asiasoft Online (Malaysia), Asiasoft also revealed that the Malaysian office will be hosting Southeast Asia regional servers for two of their latest titles - RappelzSEA and Sudden Attack (which we posted yesterday). The office also contained a dedicated sales & marketing team and a full fledged customer service team to support the community.
Keith Long, the Country Manager of AS Online Sdn Bhd. is positively confident of the company’s future in Malaysia:
The latest additions of RappelzSEA and Sudden Attack will surely contribute to overall success for our group in the near future. With the team in place and fully operational, we look forward to the challenges ahead to provide world-class service and many more titles to our gaming communities, especially in Malaysia.
Another interesting revelation during the launch is that Asiasoft Online (Malaysia) aim to launch six new games by the end of 2009. Check out their official website if you want to keep track of their latest game release and happenings.
