Gears of War 2 Lands This Week

Looks like Xbox 360 owners are going to have a very busy weekend ahead. Exactly two years after the first Gears of War was unleashed to mass public, the much awaited second chapter of the game will arrive at game retailers across the globe on 7th November, after it went into teh disc duplicate factory last month.

Epic Games promised that the game will have a deeper storyline with a number of new gameplay features (MEAT SHIELD, YEHAAWWW!), weapons, characters and enemies. In Gears of War 2, COG Delta Squad - led by fearless Marcus Fenix will embark in the battle to save humanity once again, this time bringing the war into underground, direct in the faces of Locust.

We did a check at our friendly neighborhood console shop - Gamer’s Hideout at Cineleisure Mutiara Damansara, PJ and they confirmed (for now) that Gears of War 2 will be release to customers tomorrow night, most probably a midnight launch similar to the one they had with Halo 3 last year.

Just in case you haven’t pre-order yours at Gamer’s Hideout, limited numbers of Gears of War 2 hoodies will be given away with pre-orders of either Limited Edition or Standard Edition of the game. First comes, first serve and until stock last. The hoodie already available at the shop if you want to check it out.

Come this Thursday, the sounds of Lancer will sync across 360’s planet.
