July 17, 2008 by Chapree

Games Monster PlayStation 3 tournament series is back again with what to be their biggest tournament yet - the Merdeka Winning Eleven 2008 Tournament. The tournament will be held in conjunction with Merdeka Futsal Tournament 2008 at 3rd Floor, Amcorp Mall, Petaling Jaya on 16 August 2008.
This tournament offered a total of RM 3,000 cash prize purse, the biggest yet from Games Monster. Out from the three grand, RM 1,000 will directly to the champione while the prizes are given until the 16th place winner. Each cash prize are accompanied with a copy of Pro Soccer Evolution 2008 (PC) provided by local Konami distro, PLAY Interactive.
Registration fee for each player will RM 40. A little bit steeper than usual, but given the available prizes, it ain’t that bad.
Each registered player will be given a Winning Eleven 2008 t-shirt, poster and gamer tag.
If you prefer to qualify to the event early, Games Monster is going to offer Top 4 winners at ICCG 2008 in APITT, Technology Park Malaysia, Bukit Jalil this Saturday. The competition at APITT is open to both students (from all colleges & unis) and non-students alike. It is not a mere qualifier mind you, as there are cash prizes as well. As expected from Games Monster.
Since this event will be held on the same weekend of WCG Malaysia 2008, it is basically an alternative tournament for non-FIFA players. Looks like we going to have a very happening weekend soon!
