Weekend Game Festival at GameAxis Live!

For those who haven’t heard of it yet (where have you been?), the Lowyat.NET Official Gaming Magazine, GameAxis is going to have an all weekend long event called GameAxis Live!. The event will take place at Hall 2, Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, KL starting from tomorrow, 11 July until 13 July 2008.

Promised to be a very huuugeeee gaming festival that cover both PC and console spectrum, there will be a lot of things going on at the same time throughout the event. We did previously mentioned about Codemasters GRID promotion, The RM 25,000 CELgames’08 Qualifier & Grand Finals and PLAY Interactive Gamers Movie Day featuring Hellboy 2, but those are only a small portion of what the event got to offer.

As listed by Lim Kuan Keat - the GameAxis’ Sub-Editor himself, here are few more activities that you will be able to see at the event:

Game showcase from local distributor of Electronic Arts, Konami, Codemasters, Nintendo, KOEI and THQ on PC and consoles. Not to forget, online game titles from AsiaSoft (CABAL Online), Eaglegame (HighStreet 5) and Cubinet Interactive (Perfect World Online).
Chance to win a Sony PlayStation 3 or Nintendo Wii through lucky draw.
Computer hardware at bargain prices!
MSC Malaysia IPCC 2008 Lecture Series: Game Talk featuring prominent local game developers such as Terence, Jin & Rus (Big Bad Robots), Jordan Phang (creator of ICE Blast - IPCC 2006 Finalist & IPCC 2007 grant receiver ), Micheal Ooi (Collective Intelligence), Irwan “Bun” Nawawi (MYGO Solutions and yes, CGS KL Taufan’s GM) and Bazil “Buzz” Akmal Bidin (creator of VYRUS - IPCC 2007 grant receiver)
Play-Beyond.NET + Games Monster PlayStation Community Gathering : meet and mingle around with fellow PlayStation community members.

Aside from above activities and booths, there will be couple of more exhibitors around such as NVIDIA, Anime Tech, Celcom, Chaintech, Checkerplate, Evercool and Manli. On paper, GameAxis Live! is going to be very huge indeed.

Multiplay will also be there to provide coverage for CELgames’08 and we are going to do a live update on Sunday during the CELgames’08 Grand Finals. Well then, see you there!
