ACGC’08 Is Coming To Penang This Weekend

Penangites otakus and gamers are expected to be busy this weekend as the Animation Comic Game Convention’08 is going to make a visit at Gurney Plaza, Penang. You can expect the same offerings as per the first ACGC’08 at Berjaya Times Square, KL last March - cosplayers, online games, mobile games and tournaments.
As far as gaming tournaments concerns, the Call of Duty 4 FFA Challenge will made another appearance again with RM 3,000 worth of prizes to boot. Too bad there will be no DoTA tournament this time. Apart from that, the rest of the gaming competition will involved mobile phone games. Pretty natural I guess since ACGC08 current main sponsor is Hotlink.
On another related note, the Art Director of Tekken series will made an appearance at the event too. According to the sketchy details at ACGC’08 official website, the invited guest (name is not given at their site…could it be Naohiro Hayashi of Tekken: Dark Resurrection?) will showcase his current projects and sign autograph for fans during the event.
