ESWC Malaysia Unveils Qualifiers Date

ESWC Malaysia today has revealed the list of 2008 qualifiers venues and dates for DoTA and Counter Strike 1.6. According to nles who is the ESWC Malaysia Tournament Director, these qualifiers will be held in 10 locations around the country as listed below:

Defense of The Ancients

• 10 May: Sino.Net, Bukit Tinggi, Klang, Selangor
• 17 May: Imax, Ipoh, Perak
• 24 May: Kingsurf, Johor Bharu, Johor
• 31 May: Gizmo Gamers, Kuching, Sarawak
• 1 June: CyberX Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
• 7 - 8 June: FTZ Asia.net, Subang Jaya, Selangor
• 14 June: FTZ Asia.net, Pulau Pinang
• 21 June: Infinity, Melaka
• 4 July: 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Counter Strike 1.6

• 5 - 6 June: The Orange Box Party @ Subang Parade, Subang Jaya, Selangor.
• 4 July: 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

For DoTA, top two teams from each qualifiers will be given a spot at ESWC Malaysia Grand Finals. For CS1.6, it depends on whether more qualifier venues will appear or not. For the other two official games - Trackmania Nations and Warcraft 3, qualifiers for them will only be held during Grand Finals weekend.

As you may noticed, most of the dates are missing the actual venues. I’m expecting that all of them will be made avilable at the ESWC Malaysia media conference tomorrow. (UPDATE: The venue has been updated) That and whole lot more details about the event. Boy, can’t wait!
