After months of waiting, the CGS Pan-Asian 2008 is finally here. Throughout this week, six teams from all over Asia will be battling for two spots to compete at the CGS World Final and also, a lucrative pro-gaming contract. Our country will be represented by the members of Kuala Lumpur Taufan, which has departed to Wuhan, China earlier today.
The members of KL Taufan was selected from the two phase of trials which involved a LAN selection event and a month-long training camp, organized by the franchise’s general manager, Irman “Bun” Nawawi. They are:
Counter-Strike Source:
- Albert Ying Poh “Grifter” Lim
- Kong Chian “Nitron” Lian
- Andrew Weng Keong “zeal” Yee
- Yew Siang “hix” Ng
- Wai Loong “gavin” Lam
FIFA’08: Rinie “[W|nDs]Si_jali” Ramli

Dead or Alive 4 - Male: Yong Ker “INC” Tee
Dead or Alive 4 - Female: Elaine Yiing Lin “Be3” Cheah
It is quite unfortunate that this time around, I’ll not be able to give live updates from the scene as you can see, . Don’t worry though, we still going to post daily recaps and also, live updates will be up at our forums as it made available by sources from all over the Net.
Oh, before you go, check out the Pan-Asian match schedule right after the jump. From the schedule, you can see that Pan-Asian is no longer using last year’s group-based system. Instead, they will use round-robin system which mean all team will compete against each other. This should made the competition to be very-very interesting.
