Introducing Breakthru7: The One Handed Gamer

Have you ever thought of playing video games without using your two hands? It does not matter with a gamepad or other controllers but using two hands is almost unavoidable to play majority of games out there.

Believe it or not, Eric Chong a.k.a Breakthru7 from Sabah - who lost his right arm due to a tumor almost half a year ago, has been playing Xbox 360 games with only one hand. Not only that, he kicked ass. Hard.
In an interview held by Gamer’s Hideout (available HERE) with the man himself, he talked about what happened to his hand and how he coupe with his disabilities. Some interesting excerpts from the interview:
Sorry about the incident you going through. Can you tell us more about it.
EC:It’s actually because of a kind of tumor which had been inside in my right arm around the elbow for some time. By the time we (Eric and his family) notice it already extent very near the vital part of the my right arm.
After the operation how you actually play games? I mean did you modify your controller to make gaming easy?:
EC:No, I did not. The 360 controller is like a gift to me, I’ve never thought of it, but after several tries. It’s actually possible. my thumb will be positioned on the right analog and pinky finger for the left analog and left trigger. For the buttons, I’ll have to move my thumb away from the analog stick to reach them.

That was amazing. How you actually find out it’s possible to control a controller by using one hand?
EC:After knowing my arm need to be removed, I’ve given up pretty much all hope on gaming. Thanks to the consistent encouragement from one of my best friend Ngooi Ke Roong a.k.a Gamertag Syujisy. I start train myself with the game pad and playing some online game with some others games. Now, I can join back in having gaming session with them again.
Another amazing fact about Eric is he got 1000 achievement points in Devil May Cry 4 and Call of Duty 4. That’s something that many of us normal gamers couldn’t do. That is also what I called legendary. Breakthru7 is one hella legendary gamer. *salute*

Not any ordinary people can overcome that…if it was me i would have totally give up my life.
Anyway treat him with respect, not pity. He still pwn people in game, namely COD4 & Halo 3.

Btw, is 1000 points really hard to achieve in XBOX? How are the points collected?
Chapree: Depends on which game, it’s usually pretty tough. Each Xbox’s game has a a set of achievement. Once you unlocked the achievement, you will be given points according to what the developer put there.

omg dudes.. i remember this guy,the name.. i played with this fella cs:source about last year.. shit man,can’t believe what happened to him.. feel sorry for him. too much cs maa.lol..
