Asian WCG 2008 Malaysian Qualifier Official Games Revealed

w00t, another day, another news about WCG Malaysia. This time around it is about the Asian WCG Qualifiers which will be held in conjunction of WCG Malaysia 2008 Kick-Off event.

Three official game have been listed by the organizer, which are:

1. DoTA All-Stars
2. FIFA’08
3. Need For Speed: ProStreet

In2 Marketing & Consulting Sdn. Bhd. also unveiled one more unexpected “challenge” in the qualifier. In order to win the trip to Singapore, the finalist must first beat WCG Malaysia 2007 champions - [W|nDs]Si_Jali and FoRza, who will be seeded directly to the Finals. As for DoTA, I haven’t got the word which team will be at the top of the chain.

Be sure to be at Low Yat Plaza as early as possible on the event day as there are very limited spots available - 32 slots for FIFA & NFS and 16 slots for DoTA. To gamers under 18 years on 30th May, you must fill up the Parental Consent Form before you register.

On another note, In2 will also held a Band Jam Competition at the event. Before you get too excited, no, it’s not Rock Band - the game competition. It is for real music band. The registration is open to only 15 bands, so if music is your thing, get your band together and register A.S.A.P. This is the first time ever a WCG Malaysia event to feature proper musical band (keyword: PROPER), so I’m looking very forward for this contest.

The registration will start on 11 am on Friday, 30th May for FIFA & NFS and Saturday, 31st May for DoTA. The WCG Malaysia 2008 Kick-Off Band Jam Competition registration will also be held on Friday.
