Activision CEO Bobby Kotick recently revealed hints about the next Guitar Hero in an interview, according to IGN. The interview is available in the May issue of Condé Nast Portfolio, a business magazine. Quoted directly from the interview (available online HERE):-

Where do you take the idea next?

It’s not just about guitars. We’ll include a lot of other instruments, vocals. It will help us expand internationally. It’s the first game we’ve had in which we can use local content and local bands.

Not enough with that, Joystiq ante up the rumors by adding more information that they got from their own insider at Activision - a drumset. Superior to the one Rock Band has. If it’s true, does it comes with double bass pedal, Activision? I hope so. In fact, I’m begging you. PLEASE. :|

Speaking about local contents + band, I hope Activision would consider churning local contents for Malaysia, featuring local independent artists and our own legendary musicians. You know, I’ve been dreaming of playing Butterfingers, Deja Voodoo Spells, Tempered Mental, Hujan and Meet Uncle Hussain - among the many, tunes on rhythm video games. It wouldn’t be a dream anymore soon if Activision can make it happen.

Well, we going to know about it soon anyway. The next Guitar Hero (not the Aerosmith one) is expected to be out later this year. Rock on \m/.
