Rock Band Coming To Asia In Jan 2008?
Coming to town soon but not now

Many gamers (including me) have been waiting for so long for the official Asian release of Rock Band. Early rumors stated late January’08 release but the launch was then delayed to undisclosed dates.

According to The Strait Times Singapore, reason given for the long delay was that EA Asia still in the middle of discussion with the game’s producers and publishers (I assume it’s Harmonix and MTV Games) about Asia Pacific distribution rights.

More according to the article, regardless of the delay, Rock Band is still scheduled to be released in Asia this year, right after the European launch in Q2 2008. May 2008, anybody?

Although the article seems good enough to cool down eager gamers, I’m still going to harass (in a good way) few EA’s staff this weekend at EA Play’08 for more answers. If it’s possible to steal few pre-release unit, I’ll do that as well.
