GotFrag Analyse CGS New Season’s Contract
March 1, 2008 by Chapree

With CGS Malaysian Qualifier is coming nearer (as hinted by Auricom in our forum), I guess it is about time to check how much reward there is in CGS system. GotFrag recently got ahold of CGS’s 2008 North American Player Combine and Draft Player Packet and did an excellent analysis on how much North American CGS players will receive for this season.
Last season, each player received a flat rate of RM 8,000 (USD 2,500) per month throughout the season. The numbers have been changed this year as CGS stablize their contract system. This time around, it will be between RM 1,600 (USD 500) to RM 11,203 (USD 3,500) per month depending on several category such as on/off-seasons and returning/new players.
Although I predict that Asian teams will probably not receive similar amount or at least a flat rate, these numbers should give you a glimpse on how much money involved in CGS. But remember, judging from last year’s experience, only those teams who get to qualify to CGS World Finals will able to get their hands on these rewards. That means only two Asian team will get the contract this, which will be decided at Wuhan, China this April/May.
So, the would-be KL Taufan members have to streghten themselves especially for Xbox 360 players. Whether they like it or not, the Taufan’s console section is the weakest link of the team. We never short of Counter Strike and FIFA talents and local Forza Motorsports 2 scene just had some sort of revival right after the CGS official games list announcement. That left us with only Dead or Alive as the last piece of the puzzle. Hmmm….
Start practicing then, people.
