EA Play’08 Opens For Registration
February 21, 2008 by Chapree

In case you didn’t notice, we’ve been churning out a number of EA Singapore’s upcoming gaming festival, EA Play’08 related news recently. As the event date is coming nearer, more information are being posted at their official website.
Lets start with the good news first. The tournament registration has been open since last Saturday. You just need to register yourself an EA Singapore account, login and then enter your passport number at the EA Play’s site front page. The response seems quite good especially for FIFA’08 on PlayStation 3. You also can register more than one game which can be done by contacting EA Singapore directly through the email provided at the EA Play website..
Second, almost all information including the rules and tournament schedule have been released. Included together was the list of upcoming, not yet to be released games from EA stable that will be available to played at the event. There is SPORE yaaay!!
Now, let’s go to “lesser than good” news. First, the FIFA slots are flying very fast, so it’s better to register A.S.A.P. Second, if you check the official rules, it contain this line:
“Successful registrants will be notified either by email or telephone using the contact details provided by the registrant to the Promoter in registering for these Qualifiers within by 13 March 2008.”
I’m not really sure what this mean but it could mean that you have to wait whether EA Singapore accept your registration on not. It could be hassle as some have to wait for the last minute to make travel arrangement. Plus, budget hotels in Singapore are usually fully booked in weekends
Last but not least, there is still no mention of Rock Band for the event. Nooooooooooo EA, why oh why?
All in all, it seems to be that EA Play’08 is going to be a blast. See you guys in Singapore this March!
