Kingsurf 3rd Place At MYM Prime Defending #8

Since they became champion at SMM Grand National DotA Tournament 2007 some time ago, Kingsurf still haven’t stopped winning titles. They recently came back from Singapore with 1st Runner Up placing at 2007 GXL Season 2 Finals and just 2 days ago, they scored 3rd place at Prime Defending (PriDe) #8. The well known online tournament was hosted by the established Danish team, Meet Your Makers and have been regard as one of the finest DotA tournament in the world.

Kingsurf were seeded straight to group stage at the start of PriDe #8. After topping their group, Kingsurf further progress to the top of playoff stage after beating Tomck.Net and Back To Basics along the way. Together with Kingsurf were SK-Gaming, Virtus.Pro and MYM.DotA.

At the semi-final stage, MYM.DotA defeated Kingsurf and demoted them to lower brackets. Kingsurf managed to have second chance at the title when they beat SK-Gaming in the 1st round of lower brackets but then, they fall down again to MYM.DotA at the lower bracket’s final. Virtus.Pro became the eventual champion in PriDe #8 successfully defended their PriDe #7 title.

Kingsurf really shines towards the end of 2007. They should be able to keep the winning streak well into 2008 if they managed to maintain their performances. Congratulations to Kingsurf once again!
