KODE5 SEA & GXL Season 2 Finals 2007

A number of local players is now battling it out at Republic Polytechnic in Woodland, Singapore for two large scale events called KODE5 Southeast Asia and Games Xtreme League Season 2 Finals. Our players have been regular attendees to the previous edition of both events and managed to bring back few achievement in the past.

Both of the event started yesterday but Malaysian players matches only started today. Some of the players have gone through online qualifiers and will battle straight at elimination stage. Meanwhile, for Xbox 360 players, they will have to go through from group stage up to the elimination stage as they didn’t have an online qualifier.

Multiplay will be having daily periodic update both here and our forum, thanks to feed provided by our colleagues, Lee Wei Meng of GameSync.net and Marcus Soh of GXL. Just click on the read more buttons for the updates!

[1:30pm]:

- Pin will meet Singapore’s top player, fsk3.gosubay in KODE5 SEA Warcraft 3 quarter finals tomorrow, after being seeded straight for his online qualifier achievement. It’s a single elimination tournament, so it’s going to be a do or die mission for Pin.

- Kingsurf is now in the middle of battle against Indonesian powerhouse, XcN.Trilogy. It’s their first match of double elimination stage.

- First sad news of the day. GH.Charlie is out of the tournament. Being second in their group, they didn’t managed to qualify for the double elimination round.

- Meanwhile, I still haven’t got any news for CS.

[3:39pm]:

- It seems that Kingsurf has lost their match against XcN.Trilogy. They now need to fight back all the way from lower bracket.

[4:50pm]:

- Kingsurf will meet Outbreak in their first lower bracket match.

- Nooo, more casualties are coming as the day progress. mav3tan and labbit13 were eliminated from Halo 3 FFA tournament!

[5:15pm]:

- Marcus have updated Day 2 gallery with more piktors. From this pictures, it looks like Syuji of GH.Charlie have joined Halo 3 FFA tournament as well.

[5:45pm]:

- I forgot to mention that our Warcraft 3 player at KODE5 SEA also among the final 16 player at GXL. Pin is scheduled to meet his 1st opponent, HowToAbuse in the double elimination stage at 8:00 pm.

[9:50pm]:

- Syuji and unkool (of GH.Alpha) were eliminated from the Halo 3 FFA tournament, while another player - ed1001 (yes, he’s there too, can you see from the pics? :P) managed to proceed up to Round of 32.

- Seems that Pin already won his match since his name already appeared at the double elimination bracket.

- Same goes to the current MYM PriDe #8 Top 4 teams, Kingsurf. They won against Outbreak and set battle against Sweety in the next round.

- FIFA’08 is being played right now as you can see [W|nDs]Si_Jali in this picture:

[10:20pm]:

- Good news! GH.Beta is among the final 8 teams for Halo 3 2vs2! Kudos to lunatism and mav3tan! Thing were not as good for GH.Alpha though since they shared the same fate as GH.Charlie.

[10:50pm]:

- Finally some news about FIFA’08. Apparently [W|nDs]Si_Jali and Jaylike7 didn’t make it through group stages.

- Meanwhile, Kingsurf defeated their opponent, Sweety. With that victory, they are going to meet Impreza in the lower brackers semi-finals. If Kingsurf able to pull this off, they will meet Zenith in lower brackets finals. OMG, the Indonesian were on fire, beating everybody else!

- Pin just received the word that OxygeN- will be his first opponent in GXL double elimination stage.
