Date November 30, 2007 by Chapree

The folks at Joystiq has unveiled a very serious news. The birds across the net have been talking non-stop about Gamespot’s Editorial Director, Jeff Gerstmann have been fired due to his review of Kane & Lynch: Dead Man. The news have been spread like wildfire till the extent that Penny Arcade folks release a comic earlier than their weekly schedule which is based of this incident.

Kane and Lynch
You going to regret for giving us a low rating, Mr. Jeff

In his review, Jeff gave the game a 6.0 score which is pretty low for such a hyped up game. The publisher of the game, Eidos who are hyping up the game intensely everywhere were rumored to be pissed off with that score and pressured Gamespot (which also a one of the site that Eidos advertise with) to boot Jeff out from their place.

Jeff have been working at the popular gaming site own by Cnet since 1996. That’s around 12 years, man. Although many facts are yet to be unveiled, if the rumors are found to be true, Gamespot and Eidos will both be in the world of shame. Or, dead man. Quite ironic isn’t it?

More updates will be made available as it appears.
