ESWC Grand Finals Moving To States
November 26, 2007 by Chapree
Electronic Sports World Cup announced recently that ESWC 2008 Grand Finals will be held around summer 2008 in USA. In announcement which also includes Nvidia confirmation as their main partner (again), Matthieu Dallon, CEO of Games-Services, explained the reason behind the decision to move the grand finals from Paris to California: “We made the decision to move because we felt it will be great for competitors, spectators and e-sports as a whole,”.
After the US visa problems that our gamers encountered few months ago, I’m pretty much 50-50 with this development. Truth to be told, we don’t even know if ESWC Malaysia will be ever held again or not. Somebody got to organized the qualifiers first then only we all can think about going to the sunny state of California.
