Sony Announced New PlayStation 2 In Japan
November 8, 2007 by Chapree
Yesterday, Sony announced that they going to release an updated model of their 7 years old PlayStation 2 console. Scheduled to be out in retail stores around Japan on 22 November with 16,000 yen (around RM 470.00) price tag. The initial release will feature 3 colors: Charcoal Black, Ceramic White and Satin Grey.
From outside, the new SCPH-90000 model is identical to its older slim-line SCPH-70000 series. Internally, Sony overhauled it and put together a built-in PSU giving it near portability status. Not to forget, Sony said that this one is lighter than the previous version. With a built-in power and still lighter than the old one? Wow, they really love their PS2.
To potiential buyers, it might be a good thing if you take note of this new model. Just in case some ruthless seller out there want to rip you off, saying the new model is more superior and stuff. IT IS NOT.
