It’s the final day of WGT Malaysia 2007! We are here on site to feed you live update for the tournament grand finals. Only the strongest Top 4 teams and players from their respective games left today. With that, the level of all matches today should be at the highest standard and you should already be here at High Street, One Utama watching the games live!

But yeah, we know some folks stuck at home. That’s why we having this live update coverage. What are you waiting for? Jump in!

Need For Speed Carbon
[11:00am]: 3rd/4th placing going on right now between Syefri Zulkefli and mav3. Circuit chosen were Dover Street, Skyline Avenue and Brooks Street.

[11:15am]: mav3 won the match! He leads Syefri for more than 10 sec on both Dover and Skyline thus giving him the 2nd Runner Up prize while his opponent have to settle for the consolation 3rd Runner Up.

[11:36am]: The finals between M1-Heaven and FoRza have started! It’s best of 3 race and the first circuit is Ocean View.

[11:40am]: It’s in the middle of 3rd lap. Heaven are leading FoRza 2.04 second.

[11:42am]: First race belongs to Heaven with comfortable 3 second lead over FoRza. Will Heaven finally beat FoRza after losing to him for the past 2 years?

[11:44am]: Second race have begun! It is now at Dover Street, a very high speed circuit in NFS Carbon. Heaven is leading FoRza with less than 1 sec gap.

[11:46am]: Ah, FoRza lost a bit of his line at the infamous donut corner! Things looked very good for Heaven.

[11:48am]: It’s the last lap! Heaven still leading FoRza with 1 sec gap.

Finally after 2 years…

[11:50am]: Heaven won! He is the champion for Need For Speed Carbon! After 2 years, Heaven finally managed to bring down FoRza.

Warcraft 3

[11:30am]: 3rd/4th placing match is being played right now at the Battle Arena. MeHardlyLearn is leading ChoboNope 1 - 0.

[11:45am]: ChoboNope lost again in the second round. MeHardlyLearn received 2nd Runner Up prizes for his effortless victory.

[12:04pm]: The final between CT^Xrev_Serry and Pin’ just started. This match is played at the main stage.

[12:37pm]: It is almost at the end of the first round match. Pin’ is on the upperhand is this round.

[12:37pm]: Yup, Pin’ won the first round! Serry got to win the next round or he’ll be the 1st place loser. LOLZ Serry, please don’t hantam me when you see this later XD

[12:56pm]: Serry won the 2nd round! The score is now tie at 1 - 1, forcing them to bring it to 3rd and final round to decide who will be crowned as the champion.

[1:15pm]: Ah, strategy mistake by Serry gave away the match to Pin’ who just melee all the way to the end. With that, Pin’ is the Warcraft 3 champion!

FIFA’07

FIFA’07 recap assisted by Colin.

[1:00pm] Scheduled to start at this time. Final will be on stage and 3rd/4th placing will be at the Battle Arena.

[1:03pm] The 3rd/4th placing match between [MyFES]Warrior and [W|nDs]Diospada will start soon.

[1:14pm]: Warrior choose France and Diospada choose Brazil.

[1:16pm]: Warrior just scored! He got Trezequet to launch a superb long ball which overpass

[1:18pm]: Diospada just returned the favor! What a fast comeback! It’s now 1 - 1.

[1:18pm]: Trezequet just scored again! Warrior is back in the lead 2 - 1.

[1:19pm]: Ronaldinho scored for Diospada! A good counter attack by Dio

[1:20pm]: Wah, Warrior scored again. This is really a goal fest, with the score 3 - 2. First half just finished.

[1:21pm]: 2nd half just started and Diospada managed to tied the score at 3 - 3!

[1:22pm]: Diospada scored again but second later Warrior tied the score up at 4 - 4. If the ball can speak, it would cry right now.

[1:25pm]: Warrior is in the lead now! The score is 5 - 4.

[1:26pm]: The first match just finished. It is a teeth grinding match and we shall expect the same from second match that will start in few minutes time.

[1:32pm]: The second match just started. Both players choose the same team and Diospada will at the home side this time around.

[1:32pm - Finals]: At the same time, the FIFA’07 finals between [W|nDs]Si_jali and [W|nDs]vin is starting soon at the main stage.

[1:33pm]: Diospada just scored! It’s now 1 - 0. He need to utilise his away goal advantage and stop Warrior from scoring for the 2nd Runner Up spot.

[1:34pm - Finals]: Si_Jali just scored two goal in the row! Both players are using France with the score is now 2 - 0.

[1:34pm]: Warrior returned the favor once again but soon after Diospada continued his lead with the score 2 - 1.

[1:34pm - Finals]: Vin just scored! The score now is 2 - 1 with Si_jali still in the lead.

[1:34pm]: First half just finished for 3rd/4th placing match. Second half should start in few minutes time. The score is still 2 - 1 with Diospada in the lead.

[1:34pm - Finals]: Si_jali scored! Making the score 3 - 1.

[1:34pm]: Diospada scored again! He stretched his lead to 3 - 1! Warrior got to score some goal or he going home with forth place.

[1:44pm]: Finally Warrior scored! It’s now 3 - 2. Wait wait…Warrior just scored again! It’s now a tie at 3 - 3!

[1:47pm]: The match finally ended! Warrior scored a last minute goal breaking the tied score, 4 - 3. With that, Warrior took away the 3rd place with overall score of 9 - 7.

[1:50pm - Finals]: With both match were held at the same time, I’m having a tough time to update the score. Apparently, the score is now 5 - 5! My gawd, this people keep on scoring! Oh, along the way, one of Si_jali’s player were given a red card. From there on, Vin scored directly.

[1:55pm - Finals]: The second game started few minutes ago. Vin is at the home side and now leading 1 - 0.

[2:00pm - Finals]: Second half of the second game is underway now. Both vin and Si_jali are playing a very close match with both team doesn’t seem to budge.

[2:02pm - Finals]: Vin scored! 2 - 0 for him! Si_jali got to do something pronto!

[2:04pm - Finals]: Si_jali scored! 2 - 1 is the score. He need to score more to win as Vin have a 5 away goal to his advantage.

Finally after few years, Vin managed to get a champion title.

[2:10pm - Finals]: It’s over! Vin is the FIFA’07 champion! Finally, a champion under his belt after a few years of 2nd and 3rd placing. Phewh!

Counter Strike 1.6

[12:04pm]: All CS match will be played in the Battle Arena as the stage doesn’t have enough PC for the game.

[12:37pm]: It’s Loser’s Bracket final right now between KL Taufan and XsM. Taufan starts as CT and XsM as Terrorist. The map is de_nuke.

[12:40pm]: Taufan just eco round! The score is now 1 - 2 with XsM in lead.

[12:47pm]: Taufan looked more energetic today compared to yesterday during their defeat to Hybrid. They are now leading 6 - 3.

[12:50pm]: Taufan is on fire! Syntax push into cabin and take down two of XsM players. Grifter further take down the remaining players and making the score 8 - 3!

[12:51pm]: Taufan pushed all the way to make the score 10 - 3! Oh no, it’s now 11 - 3! Hix just killed the last terrorist who are in middle of planting the bomb. Superb play by the CS vets!

[12:55pm]: XsM won this round making the score 11 - 4. They are now switching sides.

[12:57pm]: Taufan won their first point as Terrorist. Hix just planted the bomb when the rest of the squad saw the last surviving XsM players. Needless to say, Taufan eliminated him and making the score 12 - 4.

[12:59pm]: Taufan did it again…twice. They repeat the same tactic by killing XsM effortlessly making the score 14 - 4. They only need two more rounds to win.

[1:01pm]: XsM making a comeback. They just defeated Taufan for the past 3 rounds. But with the current score 14 - 7, victory still a bit far ahead.

[1:05pm]: The score is now 14 - 9. XsM is breaking up Taufan’s lead.

[1:07pm]:Taufan just scored again! XsM now have to win all way just to force the match into overtime. Pretty hard there…

[1:08pm]: Taufan win the match! The final score is 16 - 9. They advanced to the finals where they going to meet Hybrid again.

[2:10pm]: CS finals will be on de_inferno and it’s about to start soon. Taufan or Hybrid?

[2:11pm]: It’s LIVE!!

[2:14pm]: Taufan is on CT and Hybrid is on T side. The score is 2 - 0, with Taufan in the lead.

[2:19pm]: Ahhh…finally I got my much needed toilet break. I’m hungry though…anyway, Hybrid is leading the match with the score 2 - 3.

[2:21pm]: Since Hix were the last one standing, Taufan want to save their bullets but instead got killed by a Hybrid player who hiding at the bombsite. The score is 2 - 4.

[2:25pm]:Taufan still playing defensive but they couldn’t keep it up. Hybrid still on the lead 3 - 6.

[2:28pm]: Syntax was the last man standing and it’s pretty hard if not downright impossible to counter Hybrid. It’s now 3 - 7.

[2:29pm]: Nitron managed to defuse the bomb! It’s now 4 - 7. There’s still hope here. 4 more round to end the first half!

[2:30pm]: My god, awesome display by Sniggy! He managed killed fions and then defused the bomb making the score 5 - 7.

[2:30pm]: Another bomb defuse by Taufan. It’s 6 - 7! So closseee!

[2:32pm]: Hybrid planted the bomb successfully making the score 6 - 8. One more round and they will switch sides.

[2:34pm]: Taufan got this last round! Although Hybrid already planted the bomb, Taufan stormed through Hybrid’s bombsite and eliminated them all. Plus, they defuse the bomb successfully and that marked the end of 1st half. The final score for this half is 7 - 8.

[2:39pm]: The players are taking a break now. I want to get some food too but it’s too far away. If somebody kind enough, can you bring a Snickers to me? Mee sa hungryy

[2:43pm]: Second half has started! Both team are fired up for the win!

[2:43pm]: Hybrid got the first blood! The score is 0 - 1.

[2:45pm]: Yet another one for Hybrid making the score 0 - 2. Taufan looked a bit worried there.

[2:46pm]: Third point for Hybrid! But Taufan looked a bit better compared to the previous round. They managed to plant the bomb before Hybrid eliminated all their players.

[2:48pm]: It’s 0 - 4 to Hybrid. Taufan getting killed all over again.

[2:50pm]: Looks like Taufan stands no chance at all. Taufan managed to plant the bomb but only Sniggy was left. The score is 0 - 5.

[2:51pm]: Another win for Hybrid. It’s now 0 - 6 and Hybrid need 2 more round to win.

[2:53pm]: Yet another one for Hybrid. Taufan got no power at all! It’s 0 - 7. Another one and Hybrid will bring the prizes home.

[2:55pm]: When everybody thought Hybrid gonna win for sure, Taufan killed every single Hybrid players and won the round. But will they be able to reverse Hybrid current lead of 1 - 7?

[2:56pm]: Taufan scored again! Yet another successful sweep by Taufan making the score 2 - 7.

[2:57pm]: 3 - 7 for Taufan! Third consecutive sweep by Taufan! O EM GEE!!

Hybrid won again! Apparently 2007 IS their year.

[2:58pm]: In the end, Taufan didn’t managed to continue their winning streak. Apparently, Grifter were the last man standing with only 2 live. He managed to get one fella down but then, he was overpowered by Hybrid. The final score of second half is 3 - 8 thus making the overall score 10 - 16.

After 3 days of gruesome tournament, WGT 2007 Malaysian Championship have finally come to the end. Although in the early rounds, the results are almost predictable but the finals turned out to be different from what people would expect. What a great ending to the last large scale tournament of the year.
