CGS Pan-Asian Championship 2007: Finals

The order of the game today is:

  1. Dead or Alive 4 Male
  2. FIFA’07
  3. Project Gotham Racing 3
  4. Dead or Alive 4 Female
  5. Counter Strike Source

Thanks to the security officer at the player’s hotel that clamped my bike and brought back the keys to his house don’t-know-for-what, I was running late and rempit-ing all the way to Studio 1, ASTRO Bukit Jalil, KL. Luckily, I was just in time for the action. Dig in!

DoA4 Male is going on right now!

Tetra just scored the first point for Singapore! Bezerk didn’t saw it coming!

Tetra got another one for Singapore! The Sword is now in the lead with 2-0.

Bezerk with a comeback making the score, 2-1! But he be able to come with the rest of the scores?

CGS Pan-Asian Championship 2007: Finals
Not even a single sweat from Tetra

Another one for Singapore!! Tetra really giving it out for this match. Afterall, this is the Pan-Asian Finals, baby! The score now is 3-1.

Amazing! Bezerk came out of nowhere and left Tetra wondering how the hell he lost that round! 3-2 is the current score, only 1 point separating them!

4th point for Singapore! Easy there Tetra, you did it as it was too easy for you! XD

Singapore won the match! Tetra pretty much pwned the final round without much problem, leaving Bezerk biting the dust. The final score is 5 - 2.

[2:50pm]: FIFA’07 is next!

The players are setting up right now.

Singapore’s Xtreme is using France and Sydney’s Harry is using Brazil.

The match has started, things still linger around the midfield area.

Harry went into attack mode and got himself a nice corner kick. But Xtreme defense is not lacking as he managed to neutralized the attack.

Xtreme scoreeeeessss!! Harry offside trap ate himself as Xtreme long ball got through the Brazilian’s defense and Xtreme have no problem converting it into points!

Another one for Xtreme, exactly the same way he create the first goal! 2 - 0 for Singapore!!

Even though Xtreme already scored 2 goals, he played very carefully.

Xtreme almost scored! It’s the same method as the previous goal except this time it involved some short passing.

First half just finished. Will Harry overcome the 2 goal deficit?

2nd half just started and Xtreme scored the third one in just few seconds!! The Aussies are speechless!

A superb attack by Harry! Finally Harry got the samba on tune as he scored the first goal for Sydney by lurking around Xtreme’s defense.

There’s no stopping for Xtreme. 4th goal for Singapore! It’s the same tactic all over again! It’s 4 - 1, advantage for Singapore.

OMG, Harry just missed a chance and Xtreme directly countered the attack…into a goallll!! 5 - 1 is the score.

My god, it’s a total thrashing by Xtreme. 6 - 1. Five goals deficit! It’s a complete disaster for the Aussies.

Yet another goal for Singapore! My god, will he ever stop? 7 - 1 is the current score and it’s a obvious GG for Sydney.

Henry took a corner kick and it’s almost certain that the ball is going into the back of the net but Xtreme covered it so well it almost unbelievable!

CGS Pan-Asian Championship 2007: Finals
Xtreme The Hulk

It’s over!! 7 - 1 pwnage by Xtreme! Singapore really got it going on!

[3:11pm]: Project Gotham Racing 3 will be next. Sydney are trailing far behind Singapore as the current score is 12 - 3. I can see Singapore’s GM smiling happily with the 9 points lead.

As I mentioned before, Sydney PGR3 players are among the top PGR3 player but Singapore’s are not lacking as well. This is should be an entertaining match.

Players already took the stage, everything already sets. We only waiting for the go from the marshals.

CGS Pan-Asian Championship 2007: Finals
The best of PGR3 at Pan-Asian.

It’s on now! Cam and Morpo is in front. Takumi just went wide!

Morpo took the first place, Cam is in 2nd and Phenic is in 3rd. The gap is pretty far behind.

Looks like Sydney gonna take 8 points home. A nice corner cutting by Morpo!

Superb drive by Sydney. Phenic and Takumi have no chance at all to survive this race. 8 points for Sydney!

[3:11pm]: DoA4 Female is next. The current overall score is now 13 - 11 with Singapore still in the lead.

The match have started! Singapore got the first kill! Perpetiel overpowered Monkey Cong easily.

Monkey Cong attacked from earlier on and it paid off! One point for Sydney making the score 1 - 1.

A lot more careful this time, Perpetiel put down some capoeira move to fend off Monkey Cong. With Monkey Cong afraid to come nearer, Perpetial put the advantage on the move to win this round! It is now 2 - 1!

Singapore just got another point! 3 - 1 much to the dismay of the Ausies and their supporters.

4 - 1! One more for Singapore! This is what you get from training with one of the world’s best, Tetra.

CGS Pan-Asian Championship 2007: Finals
The force is strong in this one.

Monkey Cong defense is pretty bad and Perpetiel no doubt took everything to her advantage. 5 - 1 for Singapore! Sydney obviously going to have a do or die mission in the next game, CS Source.

[3:38pm]: No break? Floor manager is cruel weh!!

Anyway, CS Source is next. Just like yesterday, I dragged some of KL Taufan members to help me with match commentating. So, today we have Hix and Grifter :D

CGS Pan-Asian Championship 2007: Finals
Say hello to Grifter and Hix!

The current overall score is 18 - 12. Singapore only need 6 points to win and obviously, they not going to give that advantage away.

The players is on the stage and the arena is set at de_dust2 (my favourite!). The Sword is on the Terrorist and the Underground is on the CT side.

It’s on now!!! Ahahaha, apparently the Singaporeans is speaking in Chinese to each other. Too bad for Aussies.

Singapore took the stairs to outer bombsite A but they jump to CT base and backstabbed everyone in that area. That alone gave way to Singapore to get their first kill.

The CT tried to push and Singapore tried to rush again but in the end, it’s down to 1vs1 with Randy of Singapore got over his opponent and managed to plant the bomb. 2 - 0 to Singapore

Sydney pushes again and hide in the crate somewhere in the middle. But their aggresive way is no match for Singapore’s attack as the Sword over run the Aussies flawlessly. 3 - 0 is the score.

Again, Sydney push and they lost majority of their members early on. It’s down to 1vs4 to Aussies and Singapore have no problem finishing the lonely Sydney player there. LOLZ.

Sydney got to win this round or else they will have no money. But then, their snail speed to bombsite B cost them dearly as Singapore took everybody in CT like taking candy from a baby. It’s now 5 - 0.

Singapore need one more to win the Pan-Asians but Australian are playing more carefully. But the Sword is too superior as they won a 2vs2 at the end of this round. It’s now 6 - 0 and Singapore is going home with this.

CGS Pan-Asian Championship 2007: Finals
Disappointment sets in.

It’s game over to Sydney, people! 7 - 0 of pure class play by Singapore. But the match is still on although it’s kinda useless…isn’t it?

O EM GEE, nothing can stop Singapore. Eight to nothing is the score. It’s simply amazing!

Come on Sydney, give some fight!!

Nope, I don’t see any fight…if this continues on, Singapore going to have 18 points from CS alone.

9 - ZERO. Singapore just rush bombsite B and kill every Aussies in the area. Seriously, if you throw 5 more Aussies, the Singaporean going to finish them as well. They are too strong.

They switched side but I predict there’s nothing Sydney can do.

10 to NOTHING. My gawd, KL Taufan players are rolling their eyes looking at Sydney’s ridiculous form.

Oh, they scored. SYDNEY JUST SCORED!! A simple bombsite B rush, that’s all you need. 10 - 1.

Another score for Sydney! 10 - 2, they speed rush through the map and got the point flawlessly.

Sydney just got their third point. Why they didn’t play like this earlier? 11 - 3

Singapore finally got it going again. 1 more point to add to Singapore’s huge advantage. 11 - 4 is the current score.

Singapore tried to push but failed. That gave Sydney a man advantage to take the round 11 - 5.

4vs1 situation is going right for Aussies, they just planted at bomb site A. Singapore’s Monster tried to attack but got pwned by TopGun making the score 11 - 6.

This is the last round of this match. Singapore not going to let the last point out from their hand and off they go! 12 - 6 is the final score of Pan-Asian Championship 2007 CS Source Finals!

CGS Pan-Asian Championship 2007: Finals
Singapore Sword, CGS Pan-Asian Championship 2007 Champion!

The final overall score is 30 - 18, a huge lead for Singapore Sword over Sydney Underground. A flawless victory for the South East Asian giants over their Australasia counterparts in the first ever CGS Pan-Asian Championship.

CGS Pan-Asian Championship 2007: Finals
The Sydney Underground deserve some applause for making it this far.

Well, like Gel said in the comment section, it’s a wrap! Thank you for tuning to our Championship Gaming Series updates. See you at the next season!
