Many does not know that there is a WCG Grand Finals Chief Referee among us. A familiar face in our Counter Strike scene, Douglas “Auricom” Chin have been a referee at WCG Malaysia between 2001 - 2005. He then went on to international scene as Counter Strike referee at WCG Grand Finals since 2005.

Due to his experience and proven record, he have been promoted to CS Chief Referee status for this year grand finals in Seattle, possibly the first South East Asian to be elevated to such status. It might be counted for nothing as he was denied a visa by US Embassy. It’s almost unbelievable how can such thing happened to a WCG Chief Referee.

All hope were not lost though. Auricom was lucky that he was able to reapply for his visa since his first rejection happened barely before all upcoming interview slots were filled. The status of his application will be known later this week. All the best, buddy!
