This might be a one month old news but since FIFA’08 is not yet out, I guess it’s better late than never.

FIFA together with EA and Sony Playstation announced that the forth edition of FIFA Interactive World Cup will commenced soon with the release of FIFA’08, the latest incarnation of the popular footie game series. Sony Playstation 3 will be used as the official platform for this tournament.

USD 20,000 (around RM 70,000) awaits the champion of FIWC’07/08. Not only that, the champion will be crowned as 2008 FIFA Interactive World Player alongside other football greats at 2008 FIFA World Player Gala. Imagine standing side to side with so many football legends that you can ever imagine…priceless.

How you can qualify to FIWC’07/08 Grand Final in Berlin, Germany? There are two ways:

Online League:
Once the game is out, the online qualifier will commenced! Make sure you completed the registration process at FIWC website before you start competing. From then on, every match counts. The top 32 top players will gain the ticket to the Berlin finals in May 2008.
Offline Qualifiers:
It will be held in more than 20 countries all across the globe starting this November. Too bad none of it is in Malaysia. How unlucky it is, considering Malaysia is the home of AFC *shugs*. Another 32 players will be chosen from offline qualifier.

I wonder how many of our local FIFA pros will jump into console world for this tournament? Only them can decide
