WCG Malaysia 2007 - The Grand Finale

The final day of WCG Malaysia 2007 have begun. From 400+ gamers, now it’s down to 20 players which only 10 will be crowned as champions of WCG Malaysia 2007 and will represent our country at the WCG Grand Finals in Seattle, USA next month.

Starcraft:Broodwar

[10:30am] The final between JamesFoo and M1-Marine begins!

[10:40am] JamesFoo won the first round.

[10:45am] M1-Marine won the second round. Marine outnumbered James in terms units and structure. James have tried his best to defend Marine’s attack but in the end, the victory belongs to Marine.

[11:10am] James Foo won the final round! Going to Seattle, he is. When asked is he prepared to fight in Seattle, he answered, “I’ll be ready in one month time,”.

Command & Conquer 3

[11:15am] : The finals between [r0r1]Alpha and Dogster commenced. Alpha got nothing to lost since he’s from the Winner’s Bracket and Dogster have to step up his game in order to win the ticket to Seattle.

[r0r1]Alpha (eyes closed) seemed moved to tears with his winning. Together with him are his clanmates of r0r1kon.

[11:40am] : Alpha is victorious! His consistent attacks against Dogster brought him the championship and one-way…I mean return tickets to the Grand Finals.

Need For Speed Carbon

[11:50am] : The finals between FoRza and xxMrHeavenxx just started. This is basically a rematch of WCG Malaysia 2006 finals.

See you all in Seattle!

[12:05pm] : FoRza won again! The gap between him and Heaven is only 1 sec but it made a lot of difference. I hope FoRza will not get sick in Seattle as he did in Monza.

Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne

[12:12pm] : The finals is now happening between Paul Yan and battleangel.

[12:25pm] : The score is now 1-1 between them. Since both are a established DotA players, they admitted that they haven’t got much practice due to the pack tournament schedule. But what I’ve seen here is just top level gaming.

[1:00pm] : Man, the match seems to be going on forever. Both sides doesn’t want to budge with battleangel made an amazing comeback and made Paul Yan sweat his forehead.

The Warcraft 3 finalist, Paul Yan and Battleangel looks exhausted after the long ordeal of the finals.

[1:10pm] : Another free oversea for Paul Yan. Battleangel managed to kill a lot of Paul’s heroes but Battleangel lost too many buildings and eventually fall to Paul’s attack.

FIFA Soccer 07

[1:15pm] : The finalist, [MyFES]Warrior and [W|nDs]si_jali are taking their places now. Should be starting soon.

[1:15pm] : The match have started! Both of them are using France.

[W|nDs]si_jali, the champion with his signature smiles.

[2:00pm] : si_jali, the champion of WCG Asian 2006 is back!! The match between them are very tight with Warrior keeping on with si_jali up till the score tied at 3-3. Right after that, si_jali were on fire keeping his scores up till the final score of 6 - 4.

Counter-Strike

[2:05pm] The marshals are setting up the games.

The finalist today are XSM and Hybrid. Hybrid went through the Winner’s Bracket route after beating FMJ in the first round of Top 8. XSM took the opposite route through Loser’s Bracket and took FMJ down as they proceed to the finals.

[2:35pm] Finally, the match starts! The map is de_dust2, Hybrid is on the Counter Terrorist and XSM is on the Terrorist side. Will Hybrid made it to the Grand Finals again?

[2:50pm]: First round finished - Hybrid 10 - XSM 5. Changing sides.

[3:00pm]: Hybrid have no problem finishing the second round thus making them as 2007 WCG Malaysia Counter Strike champion! 2 years back to back, baby!
