SMM Announced Grand National DotA Grand Final Date and Venue

It is been a while since we heard anything about SMM Grand National DotA Tournament. Yesterday, the tournament’s admin, MyGaming-Lim, put an announcement at Lowyat.NET Forums that the Grand Finals will be held till 27th - 28th October 2007 at FTZ Asia.Net, SS15 Subang Jaya.

Together with the announcement, Lim also listed down the current finalists according to the state qualifiers that they won:

• Johor: Ks1, Webster, Auto-Eternal, MBJB
• Negeri Sembilan: w4si, mKvL, Autosurf Fun, RevG
• Kuala Lumpur: Cybertime|RoA, Cybertime`G, Epic, Enet.eDts
• East Coast Region: DES-Gaming, Tbun 2, DNA-Skz, Pro Extreme
• Perak: IMAX, DNA, Soul, w4si 2
• Penang: FTZ-EXC, Ice`PIA, MINC, Ice`Stim
• Selangor: Cybertime, Blitzone-1, sT, CA
• Sabah: Freedom-NsP, EcT_Ace, Rip - SynMo, NsP-Alpha
• Melaka: Surfzone, INC-PYM, Sino.MnG, Team X

Don’t fret if your team still haven’t qualify for Grand Finals. 4 more teams will be taken from SMM Grand National DotA Grand Finals Revenge Revival series that will be held from early September till early October at 4 different cybercafe. The winner of each venue will be given a spot at the Grand Finals.

Meanwhile, it doesn’t take rocket scientist to tell that the dates actually clashed with WGT Malaysia. Since SMM offered bigger amount of cash prizes compared to WGT Malaysia, most of the top teams will definately choose SMM over WGT. If this happens, WGT Malaysia will give the smaller teams out there a big opportunity. Equal opportunity to all, eh?
