Multiplay Live! - CELgames’07 Low Yat Plaza Qualifier and Grand Finals Day 1

The day have arrived. CELgames’07, the annual homegrown gaming tournament have now reach it’s climax this weekend at Low Yat Plaza, KL. A total of 35 players have qualified to Grand Finals in 3 official games: Command & Conquer 3, FIFA 2007 and Need For Speed Carbon, through 7 qualifiers that have been held previous weekends at Ipoh, Johor Bharu, Melaka and Klang Valley.

Today is the last chance for players that still haven’t qualified to Grand Finals and right after that, the Grand Finals will begin. Just like what we did in Melaka and Blaze City before, Multiplay will bring you LIVE updates from Low Yat Plaza all weekend. Don’t forget to keep a look at our Flickr for latest photos from the venue.

Updates are depending on the condition of wireless network of the venue, so please be patient a bit eh?

UPDATE: Guys, I’m sorry that we didn’t managed to bring the update the way we intended. I decided that having a connection that disconnect itself EVERY 4 minutes is totally not worth it. Thus, you can find the fixture for tomorrow’s Semi Final and Finals as determined by today’s playoff. Photos? Please check our Flickr continuously, you’ll find it there.

8:45am : It’s Caturday and today we will game!! Registration for players that’s going for LYP qualifiers will open at 9:30am while for the players that already booked their name in Top 16 finalist are scheduled to register at 10:30am.

I predict that either C&C3 or NFS Carbon will start their Top 16 Grand Finals unless the number of players registered for today’s qualifiers are more than 5 and 6 respectively.

12:45pm : Qualifying for FIFA and NFS Carbon have started since 11am plus.

NFS Carbon - currently 8 person qualifier, single elimination. Semi’s are being played right now.

FIFA’07 - 2nd batch of player should be playing right now.

C&C 3 - since the number of players are around 16 players, they went straight to Top 16 playoff.

News from the Expo @ Low Yat said that C&C3 now already in Top 4 stage. Will get more info ASAP.
