We not really there at E3′07, but the wonders of Internet brought us the big 3 press conference to our desktop. Microsoft leads the pack this year with their 1 hour plus show at Santa Monica High School Auditorium.
To make long story short, I listed my choice of games/services/hardwares announced or shown during the press conference. Just click on “read the rest” for the full list.
- Rock Band: looked bloody awesome. I bet it’s bloody expensive as well = mic + drums + 2 guitars (1 lead/rhythm and 1 bass). Music lineup includes: The Strokes, Nirvana, The Who and more.
- Viva Pinata Party Animals: more actions from the cuties.
- I saw Beautiful Katamari among the many games in the video montage, although it’s confirmed by Famitsu earlier, still…*dances in joy*
- Anticipated by many, Bioware’s Bioshock, 360/PC exclusive finally received a release date: November this year!
- Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action: New game, came with 4 controller, cost no more than regular 360 game. How’s that possible?
- Naruto: Rise of a Ninja - first Naruto to next-gen console, another 360-exclusive.
- Project Gotham Racing 4: got bikes from Ducati, Honda and others! Niceee…release date confirmed as well: September.
- Resident Evil 5 trailer was also shown. Too bad it will not be out until 2008.
- The original Sega The Hedgehog and Golden Axe (fuiyoh!) will be available at XBL Arcade from today onwards. Classic!
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare looked really awesome during the stage demo. The game will still be available for Playstation 3 owners out there but the multiplayer public demo will be available exclusive to 360 only. The exclusive word have been used too many times here, eh?
- Gears of War for PC doesn’t shock anybody anymore since the news came out way before E3 but Viva Pinata? That shocks me personally. GoW for PC stage demo by Cliffy B. looked very smooth. I bet that game need an uber machine. Time to upgrade, people!
- Halo 3 gonna get us all: Xbox 360 Halo 3 Special Edition Console, some Halo 3-related merch and of course, a new trailer: live-action and in-game!!
Conclusion: It’s all about exclusivity, Xbox Live & Games for Windows Live platform and Halo 3. Nothing ground breaking or jaw dropping. Not bad, now let’s see how Nintendo and Sony going to perform.
