CELgames Are Back: Year 2007 Edition Announced

The annual homegrown gaming fest is back! If you are a loyal reader or subscriber of GameAxis magazine, you would find CELgames full page advertisement in this month’s edition of the magazine. Organized by Gamers Dotcom, Malaysia’s official distributor for all things EA and co-organize by GameAxis Malaysia themselves, the first CELgames were held in 2005. So, this year would be their third edition. Wohoo!

2007 retained the same game series from 2006 edition: FIFA’07, Need For Speed Carbon and Battlefield 2142. A new game have been throned into 2007 official game line-up to make the event more exciting. As expected, it is EA’s popular RTS, Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. Since FIFA’07, NFS Carbon and C&C3 also part of the official WCG 2007 games, CELgames’07 can be seen as the stage to test out your performance before WCG Malaysia in September. Oh, by the way, this event are only open for Malaysians, including for BF2142.

CELgames official website already up and running but there are still a lot holes around. But major informations such as venues, rules and participation fees are already there. I guess what’s really left is the prizes list

• 7th July: KingSurf, Johor Bharu
• 14th July: Cybertime OUG, Kuala Lumpur
• 14th July: Blaze City, Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya
• 15th July: Tbun, Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur
• 15th July: Autosurf, SS15, Subang Jaya
• 16th - 22nd July: Plaza LowYat, Kuala Lumpur (Grand Finals)

Joining fee

• RM 20 for C&C3, FIFA’07 and NFS Carbon.
• RM 15 per person for BF2142

Minimum Age

• At least 14 years old on 1st July 2007.
• Under 18 must get their permission from their parents through consent form.
